On-premise AI: keeping financial data in-house
Rule-based analytics instead of cloud artificial intelligence (cloud AI): what running on-premise technically means, and why it matters for sensitive financial data.
What "on-premise" means
- On-premise means the analysis runs on the customer's own servers, not in a third-party cloud.
- There are no connections to the outside: no cloud calls, no telemetry, no updates that move data off-site.
- Your data stays on your servers.
How we work
We work inside your environment, under your control, with everything logged.
Analysis, development and testing happen exclusively at your premises. No copies of your data are made on Realico devices or systems, not even temporarily. A data processing agreement under Article 28 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is standard practice for us.
Rule-based, not a black box
- Analytics work in a way that is rule-based, traceable and auditable, instead of relying on an opaque black box.
- Every result can be traced back to a rule and its underlying source data.
- Your team reviews and approves; the four-eyes principle is built in.
Why this matters for your security
The Network and Information Systems Security Act 2026 (NISG 2026, the Austrian implementation of the EU's NIS2 directive on network and information security) takes effect on 1 October 2026. Entities in scope must contractually oblige their suppliers to take risk management measures.
On-premise operation reduces supply-chain risk compared with cloud solutions. We provide documentation for our customers' security questionnaires on request.
